Bing and Google

Does anyone else remember in like 2006 when the Zune first came out? I remember it specifically

because I got my first iPod the year before in 2005. I was lectured by a bunch of people on the superiority of the Zune to apple’s iPod. Advocates of the product would tell me, “Look, I can set my own background on this. You can’t do that on your iPod.” Well, fortunately for them and due to the Zune’s widley popular success, Microsoft has officially discontinued all Zune hardware.

My only question is when will they finally do this with their newest adventure: bing.  When will bing go the way of the Zune? Already no one uses it. The only way Microsoft can get internet users to use bing is by putting it as the default search engine of internet explorer  (a program you cannot delete from your computer). This has been Microsoft’s business style throughout the years, however. Thankfully, Google is a formidable enough adversary that Microsoft it cannot simply buy it up or tie it up in expensive litigation.
